  MSc student

  Currently, I am a MSc student in Molecular Genetics at the University of Minho. I also hold a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences.

  I am passionate about life sciences with a strong inclination towards the healthcare sector. My interests are centred on a number of developments including molecular biology approaches, CRISPR-based gene editing techniques, next-generation sequencing, targeted epigenome editing applications, transcriptome and proteome, and biotech technology within healthcare.

  I'm currently finalizing a dissertation on "The impact of light exposure in the methylome profile of Pseudomonas aeruginosa", which explores the epigenetic traits that influence the pathogenic mechanisms of these opportunistic bacteria.
